Transport workers rally over demand charter

GUWAHATI, Dec 28:  The State Transport Workers Association staged a protest demanding clearance of their monthly salaries. The protest took place in front of the ASTC office at Paltan bazaar on Thursday.  The agitating workers also sent a letter to the MD of ASTC.  In the memorandum, the workers demanded that all pending salaries of the employees should be cleared before Magh Bihu, regularization of service of 31 part-time employees within 15 days. The charter had altogether 14 demands of the ASTC employees.
