Tribal organizations oppose ming colleges after Deendayal Upadhyaya

Guwahati, Aug 17: The coordition committee of the Tribal Organization of Assam is taking potshots at the Sarbanda Sonowal-led State government over its decision of ming the model colleges across the State after Deen Dayal Upadhaya. 
The committee, however, has suggested christening of these model colleges after the me of some of the renowned persolities of the Assam, mely Padmath Gohain Barua, Lakhmith Bezbarua Upendra th Brahma, to me a few. 
In 1929, the British Government had announced Dibru Saikhowa as a reserved forest.  During the earthquake of 1950, around 1206 houses of Mising communities were evacuated to Laika by the government. However, even after declaring Dibru Saikhowa reserved forest as a flood prone area, the government is yet to initiate steps to provide shelter to 2132 families.
