GUWAHATI, Oct 4: Two books – The Teachings of  Elders and Development through Culture – were released today at Guwahati Press Club.

The Teachings of Elders is the English translation of the classic Ka Jingsneng Tymmen by Radhon Sing Berry. Translator Bijoya Sawian said that she is honoured to take up the work as her family has been associated in preservation of culture.

The other book, Development through Culture by Swamithan Gurumurthy which was released on the same day is a compilation of talks and papers presented by the well-known economist and thinker. The book explores the ethics of culture which is an identity not only in clothes and art forms but also in thought and behaviour. The books were published by Vivekanda Kendra Institute of Culture.

Founder editor of The Sentinel,  Dhirendra th Bezboruah, senior banking professiol Kashith Hazarika and State Planning Board Vice Chairman Dipak Kumar Borthakur were also present on the occasion.
