Two car lifters arrested, in jail

GUWAHATI, January 24: The Bharalumukh police arrested two car lifters –  Javed Khan, son of Salim Khan of Islampur under Paltan Bazar police station, and  Rishi Bodo, son of Chandal Bodo, hailing from Kachukata village under Tamulpur police station –  from the city last night. A case (21/2015) has been registered against them under Section 379 of IPC. A motorcycle that had been lifted from the Bhootth area of the city recently was recovered from the duo. The two were produced before the court today that sent them to judicial custody.
