Two-day NE fashion event to feature 30 designers

Intertiolly acclaimed designers Bibi Russel, Suvagata Das, Tejas Gandhi, Azam Khan and Kuenga to participate at the event

GUWAHATI, Dec 15: With the aim of promoting the talents inclined towards fashion, the Northeast India Fashion Weekend, 2006 is being organized on December 17 and 18 at Silpgram of the city.

The two-day event promises to be full of glitzy and glamour and will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Northeast India fashion weekend found its existence on the hands of three prominent mes of the Northeast fashion fraternity – Prasantt Ghosh, Dipankar Kashyap and Sanjay Choudhury.

“The main motive of these three people is to unite the industry together with the aim of showing good latest fashion to the region in a single platform and to show the others what is best in fashion from our region,” said an organiser.

The Fashion Weekend season will see big mes in the form of intertiol legendary designers Bibi Russel, top Indian designer Suvagata Das (West Bengal) Tejas Gandhi (Delhi), Azam Khan (Bangladesh) KUENGA (Bhutan). 30 other big and upcoming designers will also be a part of this two-day event.

Delhi, Kolkata, Bhutan, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya are few states from where designers have come in to join hands and be a part of the big event.

Besides this the organisers– Prasantt Ghosh, Dipankar Kashyap, and Sanjay Choudhury who are well known designers themselves will showcase their collection too.

Prasantt & Dipankar along with other budding choreographers would also choreograph the Mega event.

Besides Mrs Asia Intertiol winner, 2015 Nupur Saigal, Mr United Continent winner, 2016 Mohit Singh, Mr India Tourism world winner –Sanju ray, Indias Next top model 2016 winners Subhamita Banerjee and Jantee Hazarika, Mrs India Earth Roshni Hassan will also walk the ramp.

Assamese film persolity Nishita Goswami, Barsha Rani Bishaya, Tanvi Sharma, Diganta Hazarika, Ankur Bishaya and Utpal Das will also be part of the event.
