Two fire incidents in city

GUWAHATI, Oct 23: Two fire incidents, one on Sunday night and the other on Monday, damaged huge property.

The first incident took place at Harijan Colony at Solapara near Nehru Stadium. Seven houses, two shops, two bikes and a Scooty were among the property damaged. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. The damaged houses were of Sanjay Basfor, Vijay Basfor, Sanjeev Basfor, Sabitri Devi, Biru Basfor, Ratesh Basfor and Shanti Basfor. The two bikes were of Rakesh Basfor and Ramayan Basfor, and the Scooty was of Harijan Basfor.

The other fire incident occurred at New Colony at Pandu, near Kali Mandir. Ten NF Railway quarters were gutted in the fire. Three fire tenders from Pandu Fire & Emergency Service, one from Lokhara and one from Pan Bazar brought the fire under control.
