Two fleeing with employer's cash arrested

GUWAHATI, Dec 26: Bharalumukh police arrested two employees of a Guwahati-based broiler farm – Nripen Deka and Dhrubajyoti Deka – and recovered Rs 8.40 lakh from the former. The duo fled with Rs 11 lakh given to them by their employer Niren Das to deposit it in bank recently. The police traced Nripen at his tive village in Sipajhar and recovered Rs 8.40 lakh kept hidden in the rear side of his house on Monday night. He spent around Rs 1.60 lakh and bought a bike. Though he told the police that his accomplice Dhrubajyoti fled to Cheni with Rs 1 lakh, the police traced him at Maligaon in Guwahati on Tuesday.
