GUWAHATI, March 17: Two persons, including a woman, died in two separate road accidents in the city since last night. The accident that occurred this morning has proved it yet again that the traffic police in the city have failed to control the unruly buses running in the city. Two city buses (AS01GC9557 and AS01HC5667), both plying on wrong routes, collided head-on at Commissioner’s Point at Panbazar in the city at 7.45 am today, leading to the killing of a woman pedestrian by one of the buses. The woman (48) has been identified as Pabitra Biswas of Kalaigaon. She was staying with her brother in the city. Two bus passengers also sustained injuries in the accident. Both the drivers of the buses fled the scene. In another accident last night, a youth identified as Krish Deka died on the spot when he fell from the bus at Goswami Service in the Silpukhuri area.
