Village Rockstars wins 2 intertiol awards

GUWAHATI, March 21: A feature film 'Village Rockstars' has won two awards at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival (HAF) 2017 and the post-production fund award from White Light Studio. The film has also found a place in the Hong Kong Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival where the film will be screened. The film took three years to complete. 
"Village Rockstars is my second film. I was inspired for the movie when I was shooting for my first movie. I came in contact with some village kids and decided to tell the viewers their story. The children made a brilliant effort in the movie. In course of making the movie I became fonder of the children," director Rima Das said. 
Rima Das is a self-taught film writer, producer and director. She was born in a small village in Assam. She also wrote and directed short films and documentaries.
 Village Rockstars is directed, produced and cinematographed by Rima Das. Mallika Das, Bhanita Das, Basanti Das, Rinku Das, Bolo Das, Mabendra Das, Bishnu Kalita and Bhaskar Das acted in the movie.
