GUWAHATI, July 7: The Brahmaputra is in full state – flowing much above the danger level in Guwahati. The Mahavir Udyan at Machkhowa in the city has turned a danger zone for visitors. The turbulent river has washed away its wall. This is not all. The footpath between Machkhowa and Fancy Bazar along the riverside has also cracked at many places.

City areas like Pandu, Garigaon, Kharguli, Uzan Bazar, Fancy Bazar, Machkhowa etc., are risk zones with the river flowing above the danger level in Guwahati. Even areas like Panjabari and Jalukbari have been reeling under floods in the city.

The city also witnessed artificial floods in many areas today when there were heavy rains.
