'We have not yet decided on party candidature'

GUWAHATI, Oct 29: Taking serious cognizance of the fact that some AUIDF leaders have put up banners and hoardings in their respective constituencies announcing that they are going to contest the upcoming Assembly election on AIDUF candidature, the party on Thursday came out with a clarification that they have not yet decided on this issue. In a statement to the media, AIUDF secretary, Haider Hussain Bora said, “Some people are using the photo of the party president and the party logo without taking prior permission. Some have even declared themselves as the nomited candidates, in this regard we have already used notice to the district presidents and the general secretaries to take proper measures.”

“Till now we have not assured anyone of party candidature,” he added. Cautioning the leaders to refrain from such activities, Bora said that if the leaders fail to cope with the orders of the party high command, serious action will be taken against them.
