GUWAHATI, Sept 13: Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal has said that the BJP-led government in the State will meet all promises made by the party in the run-up to the Assembly election in the State. The Chief Minister said this on Wednesday while speaking as the chief guest at the State executive meeting of the OBC Morcha of the State BJP held in the city. “We’ve zero tolerance against corruption. As many as 56 corrupt officials have been sent to jail. The process of NRC update is going on so as to make the State free from foreigners. Likewise, the process of sealing India-Bangladesh border is going on. This apart, making 130 bighas of land of Batadraba Xatra and KNP free from encroachers is a success story scripted by the State Government,” Sonowal said. The meeting presided over by BJP’s OBC Morcha president Bitupan Raidongia was also attended, among others, by State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass as a special guest.
