'What burning problem of Assam solved by Singh as PM'

BJP hits back at Congress

GUWAHATI, April 9: The BJP Assam Pradesh has asked the Congress and State Pradesh Congress Committee president Ripun Bora to spell out what burning problem of Assam the previous Congress governments at Dispur and New Delhi could solve over the years. The BJP has also asked Bora to point out what former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did for Assam as an MP from the State.

In a statement issued to the press on Monday, State BJP spokesperson Megha Hazarika said: “For the past two decades Manmohan Singh had been a Rajya Sabha MP from Assam, and he was the Prime Minister of the country for two terms. During that period what did he do for Assam and other States in the Northeast? Let APCC president Ripun Bora point out what burning problem of Assam was solved by Manmohan Singh as a Prime minister. Bora has no right to criticize popular Prime Minister of the country rendra Modi with unparliamentary languages. The people of the country have dumped the Congress for its falsehood, corruption and nepotism. The people of the country have nothing more to explore on the Congress.”
