GUWAHATI, Dec 1: Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner M Angamuthu has said that the district administration is going to hold more meetings with traders on the soaring onion prices. Talking to newsmen in Guwahati on Friday, the DC said that the district administration held a meeting on onion price on Thursday. “We’re going to hold more such meetings with traders so as to bring down onion prices. Due to inclement weather in the South, the supply on onion from southern States is less, and that has caused the scarcity. We’re trying to restore the situation,” he said.
