GUWAHATI, Dec 18: Dipti Garodia, daughter of Kailash Sarf of Kumarpara in Guwahati, sought justice against alleged mental torture and physical assault on her by her husband Ritesh Garodia, demanding dowry. Talking to newsmen at Guwahati Press Club on Monday, Dipti, a mother a three-year-old boy, said that she had lodged an FIR at Bharalumukh police station on November 28 this year. “However, the police has not acted against him as yet,” she said, and added: “I did meet the Guwahati Police Commissioner on December 8. In front of me, the Commissioner did ask Bharalumukh PS OC to arrest Ritesh, but nothing of that short has taken place as yet. The police conducted my medical examition around 15 days back. However, whenever I ask them on my medical report, they keep on saying that the report is yet to come. I want justice.”
