Workshop on 'Stand up India'

GUWAHATI, Jan 21: An awareness camp-cum-workshop on ‘Stand up India’ programme was organized by the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration, in association with Lead Bank Office, Kamrup Metropolitan today at Dhankhunda under Chandrapur Development Block.

The programme was organized as per specific direction of Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitan District to make extensive awareness among the SC/ST, especially the Women entrepreneurs in the rural areas of this district. The camp discussed the Stand up India programme in details covering all aspects.

The camp was specially organized in the line not only for the growth of green field enterprises but to convert the job seekers to job providers, employment generation and also for the growth of agro-based processing activities with emphasis for the growth of manufacturing and service sector in this district.

Apart from the above, fincial and digital literacy matters were also discussed in details.

The camp was attended by Sudip Dhar, Lead District Bank Mager, Kamrup Metropolitan District, Durlov Ch. th, Director, AGVB-RSETI, Kamrup (M), Jiban Kr. Saha, Fincial Literacy Councilor, Kamrup (M) and by more than 100 women participants.
