Mirza, 16 Sept: A UGC-sponsored tiol workshop on 'Writing for Media' was organized by the Centre for Media Studies of DK College in collaboration with EP Media Forum South Kamrup on September 14 and 15, 2017.
In his welcome address Principal of the college Dr. RC Kalita highlighted the achievements of the college in the field of teaching and research. Delivering his speech in the iugural session, Mr. Vinod Seshan, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup) district stressed the need for popularizing mass communication education in the backdrop of globalization. Shashwati Goswami, faculty, IIMC, New Delhi; Niharika Burhagohain, faculty, Sikkim Central University; Sushanta Talukdar, Editor, NEZIN; Dr. Ankuran Dutta and Dr. C.K. Goswami from Gauhati University, and Dr. Abhijit Bora, HoD, Department of Mass Communication and Jourlism in Tezpur University conducted the technical sessions. In the Valedictory Function, jourlist yan Pratim Kumar spoke about the ethical and practical aspects of jourlism.
