Workshop throws light on sex determition before birth

GUWAHATI, Dec 12: Health-related legal matters came up for deliberations at a workshop on ‘Legal Issues Relating to Health’ organized by the Community Medicine Department, Gauhati Medical College, here on Tuesday. GMCH principal Dr. Atindra Kumar Adhikary iugurated the workshop under the supervision of Head of the Department of Community Medicine Dr. Jutika Oja. Senior advocate of Gauhati High Court Debojit Das, GMCH professor Dr. Pradip Thakuria, Community Medicine professor Dr. Rat Sarma and others spoke on the occasion. Dr. Ojha laid stress on sex determition before birth as a crime and legal aspects associated with it.
