Yoga Guru set to boost Assam products

From our Correspondent

MIRZA, Nov 7: Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev has said that Patanjali will make Assam tea popular as green tea, besides popularizing the joha and aijun rice of Assam elsewhere in the country.

Addressing a gathering at the Joga Pith Trust Northeast at Mirza this evening, the Guru said: "Patanjali wants to add a newer and glossy touch to Assam's endi chador and bamboo products and produce them commercially, so as to raise their demand in the market outside the State. In order make stride in the field of education in Assam, Patanjali is going to set up a few educatiol institutions in the districts in the State. Such institutes will impart free of cost education to the scions of martyrs. We're yet to get economic independence even as we got political independence some 70 years ago. We need to boycott foreign goods so as to make market for domestic products. There will be more Patanjali Herbal Food Product industries in the State like the one set up in Tezpur." The Guru urged the people of the State to adhere to three principles - practicing yoga, boycotting foreign goods and make progress in education."
