Youth killed, stepfather held

DIMORIA, Feb 20: A youth, Bhaskar Das (28), was killed allegedly by his stepfather, Ajit Das, in the Dimoria area on the outskirts of Guwahati last night. The police held Ajit Das for interrogation. According to reports, the body of Ajit Das was lying on the Dugaru bridge on NH-37 last night. Bhaskar was on his way back home after 9 pm last night when he was killed. Bhaskar’s mother Niru Das lodged an FIR in Sopur police station in this connection alleging that her son was killed by Ajit Das, her second husband. She said that Bhaskar is the son of her deceased husband Biren Das, and that she got married with Ajit Das after the death of her first husband. The police held Ajit Das. Interrogation is on.
