Beer Is Better Than Painkillers, Claims Research

New Delhi: This article can be of use to those who are fond of beer. A study in 2017 established that beer works better than medicine in relieving pain. This means now you don't have to wait for the party to drink beer, you can consume it even if you are in pain. However, one should keep in mind that he or she should take it within the limit as no matter what alcohol is, it only causes harm whenever consumed in excess.

The 2017 study, stated that two pints of beer provide quick relief from pain compared to taking pain medicine such as paracetamol etc. As per the study, beer provides 25 per cent more relief than paracetamol and interestingly it is very effective during headache.

The Research

Researchers from the University of Greenwich had done this research and after conducting about 18 studies, they came out to this conclusion. Now to reach this conclusion, a study was done on about 400 people. All of them were given two pints of beer when they had a headache and the result was that they got 25 per cent more benefits by taking beer instead of paracetamol.

How Pain Is Reduced?

During the study, researchers found that alcohol is an effective analgesic that reduces the intensity of the pen. This is the reason why some people use alcohol for a long time to get relief from pain. At the same time, the researchers also made it clear that long-term use of alcohol to relieve pain can cause many types of damage to health.

Beer Is Better Than Medicine

According to the research, beer works better than medicine and it can be used in place of a strong painkiller. There are two benefits of taking beer, one, it increases the alcohol level in the blood by only 0.08 per cent, secondly, it also reduces the intensity of the pen.
