New Delhi: Amidst the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has sacked Kyiv's ambassador to India, Germany, the Czech Republic, Norway and Hungary.

However, no reason has been given immediately for this action. It has also not been clarified in the order whether these ambassadors will get any new responsibility, or whether it is an action taken as a punishment.

According to an order issued on the presidential website, Zelensky has sacked Ukraine's ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk. This order was published on the website of the Ukrainian President on 9 July.

Simultaneously, Zelensky fired Ukraine's ambassadors to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Norway and India.

Zelensky has urged his diplomats to mobilize international support and military aid for Ukraine following the invasion by Russia since February 24.

In such a situation, the removal of Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is considered a big step.

Andrey Melnik, who was appointed as ambassador to Germany in late 2014 by the previous president, is well known among politicians and diplomats in Germany.
