British vaccine likely to roll-out ahead of 2021: Reports

The Oxford COVID-19 vaccine which is said to be in its advanced staged of the train is likely to be rolled out in as little as three months in the UK. The scientists are hoping that the regulators approve the vaccine before the start of 2021.,

On Thursday, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said it has started reviewing data on AstraZeneca and Oxford University's potential COVID-19 vaccine. It is the first of such moves aimed to speed up any approval process in the region for a vaccine.

According to health officials, every adult could receive a dose of the vaccine within six months. The reports said that the vaccine candidate, under the trail by University of Oxford scientists, is the furthest in the process of trails and it could be given the required clearances by Christmas in December.

As per the UK government sources who are also involved in the making and distribution of vaccines said that a full vaccine roll-out programme for adults could take six months or less after approval. The chances of the British vaccine are seen as leading the race for a successful vaccine against COVID-19. Thus, it has also become the first to be approved in Europe for treating the COVID-19 virus.
