China: Woman Forced To Stay At Blind Date's Apartment In A City Due To Lockdown

Beijing: A Chinese woman became an instant sensation after posting video diaries, detailing her existence of being stuck at a blind date's apartment.

Wang went to her blind date's house for supper on Sunday in Zhengzhou, a central Chinese city, where a recent outbreak of COVID infections forced hundreds into quarantine, and later lockdown was imposed.

Wang promptly posted about his strange event on social media. "Now that I'm older, my family has introduced me to ten matches... "In one of the videos, the fifth date wanted to show off his cooking talents and invited me over to his house for supper," Wang claimed.

She also documented her everyday life in lockdown on WeChat, posting brief videos of her date cooking for her, doing domestic chores, and working on his laptop as she slept.

Although Wang did not appear to be bothered by the situation, the protracted lockdown has stifled romance.

However, Wang's being the celebrity caused embarrassment for her date. She has since removed some of the videos.

"Friends have been phoning him, and I believe this has had a significant impact on his life, so I've taken them down for the time being," she said in a video posted on Tuesday.

Thank you all for your time and consideration... I'm hoping the outbreak will be over soon, and that my single sisters will be able to find love as well."
