Elon Musk's Brain Chip Firm Neuralink Lines Up Clinical Trials In Humans

Neuralink, the brain chip startup company owned by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is in the process of launching clinical trials in humans.

The founder of Neuralink, Mask promised that the new invention and technology will help paralyzed people to use smartphones with their brains faster than people using the same smartphone with thumbs.

The company is currently recruiting for a clinical trial director so that it can run tests of the technology in human beings.

As a clinical trial director one will be engaged in working closely with top engineers and innovative medical supervisors along with the first clinical trial participant of Neuralink.

The previous month, Mask stated that the new implants will have the ability of allowing tetraplegic people to walk accordingly.

He also said that the company hopes to have the experiment in their first humans which means those individuals who have serious injuries with spinal cord such as quadriplegics and tetraplegics.

Mask stated that with Neuralink there is an opportunity of restoring the entire body functionality to a person with spinal cord wounds or injuries. He further confirms the company's device safety and reliability saying that the chips are easily removable.

However, Musk has made records in overpromising regarding the growth and development of his firm at such a great speed. In the year 2019, he made predictions that the device chip would be implanted into the skull of humans by the year 2020.

Neuralink had earlier made great implantation by introducing artificial intelligence microchips inside the brains of pigs and monkeys and the owner says that the devices are performing well with monkeys.

Recently the company has shared a video clip of a monkey that was done with the experiment of implanting the chip that plays the video game Pong only with the use of its brain.

Neuralink is a California brain-machine interface organization that was founded in the year 2016 by co-founder Elon Musk. Though the company was launched in 2016 it was reported publically in the next year after launch in March 2017. Elon Musk is the richest person across the globe with an estimated fortune of 256 billion dollars.
