Jewellery worth 50 million pounds were stolen at London

LONDON: Jewellery worth 50 million pounds (over Rs 470 crore) were stolen from the house of Tamara Ecclestone, the daughter of former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in London. The burglars raided her house on the Friday night, as Tamara left the country for her Christmas holidays. Thieves are believed to have entered through the garden before breaking into safes hidden in her bedroom, reports the Sun. According to the Sun, they fled with items including precious rings, earrings and an 80,000 pounds Cartier bangle given to her as a wedding present. “I can sadly confirm there has been a home invasion. Internal security is cooperating with police in this matter,” a spokesperson for Ecclestone was quoted as saying. (IANS)
