Kyle Rittenhouse Trial: The Court Verdict Released All Charges Says 'Not Guilty'

Kyle Rittenhouse an 18 years old teenager who was earlier considered as accused of Kenosha shootings in Wisconsin is now released from all charges on Friday 19 November.

On Friday afternoon Kyle Rittenhouse was proved to be not guilty over the gun violence in Kenosha by a jury in the court and released from all charges of the murder trial. Rittenhouse was accused of having a connection in shooting three people during the protest over racial injustice in the summer of 2020 in Kenosha. In the same incident, a white police officer shot a Black man, Jacob Blake which created racial debates.

The victims in the protest shot by Rittenhouse are Joseph Rosenbaum, 3, from Silver Lake, Wisconsin and Anthony Huber, 26, a person named Gaige Grosskreutz got severely injured.

As the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was initiated from the beginning of November there have been many debates and controversies over the issue in the social media platform mainly Twitter. Some were seen supporting Rittenhouse considering the act of shooting as self-defense saying he had defended himself but there are many who considered him as guilty over the Kenosha shootings last year.

The Rittenhouse case has become one of the high profile cases and its presiding judge also played a major role in drawing attention. Throughout the Rittenhouse trial, Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder has been hitting headlines by supporting the act of defense many times but refuses motions to admit proof by prosecutors showing the involvement of Kyle Rittenhouse in an earlier part of the violence.

It was proved with evidence that Rittenhouse in the Kenosha shootings acted for his self-defense while the prosecutors made arguments he had given rise to the violence. The reaction of Rittenhouse seems to get a huge relief as the teenager hugged his lawyer in the middle of the court clerk saying "not guilty" 5 times.

But the verdict of the court gave rise to numerous reactions on Twitter as 'white supremacy' and 'white privilege' became the trending also tweeted as verdict 'not justice'. Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden tweeted congratulating Rittenhouse for being free from charges and acknowledging the court's verdict.

The case of Kyle Rittenhouse has become a major point in the United States debate over the law, guns, justice, racial-justice protests and vigilantism. Rittenhouse is white and as are the three men he shot were black the case raised several questions about racial justice, policing, firearms and white privilege that polarized people far outside Kenosha.
