Queensland: A man in Australia is living with a huntsman spider for over a year now. Jake Gray from Australia has recently shared a picture of a huntsman spider crawling up his wall.
Huntsman spiders are native to Asia. These type of spiders are also found in Africa, South America and Australia.
Gray has been living with the arachnid for almost a year now and is watching it grow. He keeps the spider at his home in Cairns, Queensland, and treats the spider like a regular pet.
Gray shared the picture of his pet on the Australian Spider Identification group with the caption: "Check out this big girl. Been watching her grow over last year."
The picture has gone viral in a few hours. Many users have called Gray a brave man, while others called it was not wise to keep an arachnid at home.
A user commented on the photo which was shared on Instagram by 'Boss Logic', "The good old Huntsman. They are safe, but they will jump you!"
"What do you even do? Sell the house? Burn it down? I'm not kidding even one second. Do you talk to it? Offer it a cigarette?" wrote another.
