Man In Indonesia Marries Rice Cooker, Divorces It 4 Days Later

Jakarta: In a bizarre incident in Indonesia, a man named Khoirul Anam posted several photos of him marrying a rice cooker.

In the photos, Khoirul Anam can be seen posing wearing fancy wedding finery for the wedding ceremony. A white rice cooker can also be seen beside Anam 'wearing' a sheer white veil.  

The photos were shared on Facebook by Khoirul Anam showing different phases of their wedding. In one of the photos, Anam can be seen kissing the rice cooker. In the other photo, Anam can be seen signing their marriage papers with the rice cooker sitting right beside him.

In his caption, Anam calls his bride 'fair, obedient, loving and good at cooking'. The post has garnered about 10,000 'likes' and over 1200 comments.

However, the union did not seem to work out as Anam announced their divorce just four days later. The announcement was made on Facebook by Anam citing that he had decided to get separated from the cooker as it would only cook rice and nothing else.

The whole drama of the wedding and divorce was nothing more than a mere social media stunt for entertainment purposes. According to the local media, Anam is a local celebrity who would often make such content for entertainment purposes.
