Reddit Page Dedicated To Gabby Petito Locked Down After Human Remains Matching Her Descriptions Found

New York: After a 22-year-old influencer went missing, a Reddit page was created to discuss theories, information and clues about her disappearance. 

Gabby Patito was an aspiring van travel influencer and a resident of Long Island in New York. She was reported missing on September 12. However, it is believed that Gabby Patito had gone missing in late August during a cross-country road trip with a fiance, Brian Laundrie.

As per reports, the pair had been posting pictures of their journey on Instagram since they started the trip July 2 from Blue Point in New York. However, Gabby's Instagram went silent after she last posted on August 24. The post was tagged in Grand Teton National Park In Wyoming.

On Sunday night, the police informed that "human remains consistent with her description" has been found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

A Reddit page dedicated to her disappearance has now been locked and have restricted new posts after the police's statement was made public.

One moderator from the forum said, "The subreddit is currently locked to new posts because we're at a point where people are waiting for breaking news, they are no longer trying to figure out what happened or weave a story from what they think the available facts are."

The forum had gained more than 90,000 subscribers in just a week. As per Subreddit Stats, the forum receives about 6,400 comments per day.
