‘Russia opposes United States' Unilateral Sanctions on Iran’

Tehran, July 20: Russian President Vladimir Putin regards US unilateral sanctions on Iran as a violation of the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Putin’s envoy Alexander Lavrentiev said here on Thursday. Putin, in his recent talks with the US President Donald Trump, denounced Washington’s unilateral move to re-impose sanctions on Tehran as harmful and unconstructive, Lavrentiev was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.
