Swaraj also spoke about the grief and anger that India have on this Pulwama attack where more than 40 CRPF jawans have been martyred on February 14 to which the Foreign Minister made a strong statement against Pakistan and its refusal to act against terror groups on its soil in China.

She further said that the Government of India has decided to take pre-emptive action against the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists as they were planning to attack in other parts of the country and in order to avoid civilian casualties.

She also said that India does not wish to see further escalation of the situation and that India will continue to act with responsibility and restraint.

In her opening remarks during the meet, Swaraj said that she had visited China at the time when the entire country is in grief and anger due to Pulwama attack which is the worst terrorist attack directed against the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

While talking about the Pulwama terror attack, Swaraj said that the attack was carried out by the JeM terrorists and also told Wang Yi that JeM is banned by the UN and other countries and that this terrorist attack is the direct result of the impunity and cover provided to the JeM and its leaders by the Pakistani side.

Talking about the terror attack in Pulwama, she said that Islamabad denied any knowledge of the attack and outrightly dismissed claims by JeM instead of taking seriously the calls by international community to act against the terrorist group based in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, China's stand on Masood Azhar remain unchanged although other countries across the world including US, Russia, UK and France and part of the UNSC condemned Pakistan's role in the Pulwama terror attack.
