Taliban Issues Fatwas Concerning Women; Must Paint Window Panes So That No People Can Notice Females

KABUL: As expected, the Taliban who reclaimed Afghanistan a few days back ousting the US-backed government has now reportedly issued a set of fatwas concerning women.

In one of their latest dictates, the Taliban warned Afghan women not to wear skintight jeans.

Also, it has dictated their women not to move out of their homes alone. The new Afghan Taliban rulers warned if a woman disobeys the dictates will be given severe punishments.

The notorious Taliban's latest fatwas also contain the following dictates:

a) No woman's photo could be published by any media.

b) All residents of Afghanistan must paint windowpanes so that no people could notice their women who remain indoors.

c) No award could be instituted after the name of any woman.

d) Afghan women would enjoy their rights under the purview of Islamic laws or Sharia laws.

It could be added here that Afghan women could pursue their higher studies in the last twenty years after the NATO forces led by the US army ousted the Taliban ruler from power.
