The Biggest Award OSCAR 2019 took place at Dolby Theatre on February 24

Guwahati: The biggest award OSCAR has announced its winners of February 24 night at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The 91st Academy Awards has announced Green Book as the Best Picture Oscar award.

Eight films have been nominated for the Best Picture category and Green Book has won the title of Best Picture out of the eight nominations. The nominated films were Black Panther, BlackKkcLansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star is Born and Vice.

The other categories to receive the prestigious awards are Alphonso Cuaron for Best Directing Oscar for Roma who wins his second Oscar at the 91st Academy Awards.

The Oscar for Best Actress has been received by Olivia Colman for The Favuorite while the best Oscar for Actor has won by Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Singer Lady Gaga who has won the Best Original Song award for Shallow from her film A Star is Born said that, "It's not about winning but what it's about is not giving up. If you have a dream fight for it," she said.

The Oscar for Best Original Score has been received by Black Panther and Ludwig Goransson has accepted the Oscar for the category of Best Original Score.

Meanwhile, Green Book also won the Best Original Screenplay and Nicky Vallelonga, Brian Currie and Peter Farrelly have won the award for the category.

The Best Supporting Actor has won by Mahershala Ali for Green Book at the 91st Academy Award.

The other categories for which the biggest award has been given away are Foreign Language Film, Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actress, Best Sound Mixing, Animated Feature, Costume Design, Documentary Feature, Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Original Music Score, Best Visual Effects, Live Action Short Film, Best Sound Editing, Best Production Design, Best Make-up, Best Short Documentary, Best Animated Short Film.

Before the starting of the Awards, the biggest show is the Red Carpet and for the first time Hollywood used the red carpet by theatre tycoon Sid Grauman during the premiere of the movie Robin Hood in October 18, 1922.

Now, events such as Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards and Met Gala all roll out the red carpet.

The red carpet is used to denote special efforts made when offering hospitality to someone.

The World's longest red carpet was used in the streets Almeria, Spain which was also included in the Guinness Book of Records as it is measured 6,358 meters long.
