This is How Indian Tricolour Helped Pakistani, Turkish Students to Escape From War-Torn Ukraine

Amid the war crisis in Ukraine, the tricolour national flag of India has now appeared to be the rescue for many Indians as well as Turkish and Pakistani nationals.

Many Indian students and students from other countries used the Indian tricolour flag as a shield to protect themselves from Russian attacks while crossing the checkpoints in Ukraine.

During their evacuation from the war-torn country Ukraine, the Indian flag was put in vehicles by thousands of stranded students from India, Pakistan and Turkish to reach Romania.

This was advised by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy so that the Indian students stuck in Ukraine amid the conflict can safely return home by crossing the affected regions.

Following the Indian government's advice, a huge number of Indian students from Ukraine reached Bucharest city in Romania to catch the special flight used for the evacuation process. The planes from Romania to India are operated under 'Operation Ganga.'

One of the students among those who moved to India stated that the Indian tricolor flag was much helpful for Indian students as well for Pakistani and Turkish students to cross various checkpoints of the Russian hit country without any danger.

A medical student arriving from Southern Ukraine said that all those stranded in Ukraine were informed that if they carry an Indian flag they will not face any problem and reach their destination safely.

Students also explained how they prepared the tricolor flag to put them in vehicles and pass safely to Romania. They went into the market, bought some spray paints and a curtain to prepare the flag by spray painting the curtain.

Students said that even the stranded Pakistani and Turkish students used those flags which appeared to be a great help for them. The foreign students from Odesa of southern Ukraine started their journey in a bus and reached the Molodova border.

One of the students praised the Molodova citizens who helped them with free accommodations along with the availability of buses and taxis to reach Romania.

Students also added that the Indian embassy had made all required arrangements in Molodova therefore they did not face any problem there. They also thanked the Indian embassy for arranging the food and shelter while they were waiting for the flights to return to India.
