Two Look-Alikes from China Meet on Social Media, Turns Out to be Twins

New Delhi: Two look-alikes from China meet on social media to find out they are twins. This news story might seem like a plot straight out of a Bollywood or a Hollywood movie. It is about two women from China who look like a replica of one another, here is what happened next.

Cheng Keke (29) spotted another lady, Zhang Li (29) on social media, who looked exactly like her. Cheng immediately reached out to Zhang only to realise that Zhang is her twin sister.
The twin sisters got separated at a very young age and were adopted by different families in China. They are the residents of Zhengzhou, in the Chinese province of Henan.
It is reported that they met in January when Cheng's younger sister spotted Zhang on a social media website named Douyin. They looked surprisingly similar and Cheng reached out to Zhang.
Over time they realized that they have similar interests, hobbies, likes, dressing styles, and without any doubt a similar blood group too. They met in person in March 2021 and have found out that they have more similarities than they had previously thought of.
Cheng had said, " We speak in the same voice. When we are together, it is like looking in a mirror."
Cheng with doubts and mysteries about her identity later pressed her parents to uncover the truth. Her parents have eventually admitted that she was adopted as the parents of the twins were unable to afford to give a good and healthy life to the twin daughters. Cheng's mother also added that she had no information about the whereabouts of the other daughter of the couple.
Cheng's mother agreed and had made it clear that Cheng and Zhang are indeed twins. However, for further assurance, Cheng's family wanted to go for a DNA test to get the final answer.
On the 29th of April, 2021 the medical reports confirmed that they are twins. The DNA reports have made their bond even stronger with no insecurities of hidden mysteries. Cheng expressed that her doubts of being adopted had kept her up two months before gathering the courage to ask her adoptive parents. Later Cheng added in a video post that she found her elder sister.
