With the Opening Ceremony only a few days away, fans across the world will be able to engage in a variety of thrilling digital experiences throughout the forthcoming Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. These one-of-a-kind services will be in addition to the unparalleled broadcast coverage that will be available to a possible worldwide audience of more than five billion people due to the official Olympic broadcast partners. 

"Tokyo 2020 will be the most connected Olympic Games ever and we, along with tremendous support from our global partners, have created enhanced digital experiences to engage with fans before, during and after the Games," said IOC Director of Digital Engagement and Marketing Christopher Carroll. "These offerings are designed around the ambition to not only connect with fans around the world, but also to create something memorable that will inspire people through the values of the Olympics," stated the newly launched olympics.com.  

The newly created olympics.com and Olympics app offer a digital platform for fans to stay up to date on the latest news from Tokyo 2020 and future Olympic Games. The app, which is available on Android and iOS, allows for greater fan connection with a slew of new features, including the most recent news, forthcoming schedules and results from the Games, as well as original material and video highlights in select areas. 

Fans will have direct, integrated access to official broadcast partner platforms that provide live broadcasts of the Games based on their location, thanks to a new "Where to Watch" feature. 

The International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, and Airbnb have launched Tokyo Together, an exclusive opportunity to engage with Olympians and Paralympians. While fans will be unable to attend the Olympic Games in person, the introduction of these one-of-a-kind experiences allows people all around the globe to celebrate and support the athletes while getting as near to the action as possible.

As part of the "Tokyo 2020 Make the Beat!" campaign, fans across the world are asked to video themselves performing to the beat to cheer on their favourite athletes in the run-up to the Tokyo 2020 Games.
