Guwahati: In a bizarre development, an English woman delivered her own baby in a Mazda CX5 car by following tips from docu-series 'One Born Every Minute'.

The woman named Naomi Hubbard, who is a nurse by profession, began having strong labor pains while traveling in a car. She was forced to deliver the baby en route to the hospital. The couple, from Stamford, Lincolnshire, had been sent home by Peterborough City Hospital just hours earlier after staff told them their fourth child wasn't quite ready to be delivered.

Hubbard, 29, was forced to give birth to baby son George unaided, as her husband, Jack, 29, rushed them to hospital in their Mazda CX5. But Naomi's waters broke as soon as they returned home, forcing them to rush straight back to the hospital out at 2 am.

Knowing that they were four minutes away from A&E, Naomi called over to her husband from the front seat to tell him: "The baby's head is coming out." Naomi, who stated that she used tips picked up from watching One Born Every Minute, managed to deliver little George there and then as they sped along the A-47.

As per reports, she even calmly untangled the umbilical cord which got wrapped around his neck. The couple then continued on their journey to the hospital where medics took over and checked the baby, which turned out to be healthy.
