About CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology

The North East Institute of Science and Technology in Jorhat, Assam, is a constituent institution of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi, and has been engaged in multidisciplinary R&D work relevant to the country in general and the North Eastern Region in particular. The CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, previously (RRL) in Jorhat, was founded in 1961 as one of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's (CSIR) interdisciplinary labs under its Chemical Science Group of laboratories.

Desirable	Ph.D. in Management/Engineering/Science. Understanding of Government procedures, familiarity with north-eastern ecosystem for business incubators / start-ups.

Experience	At least 5 years of experience in Industries / R&D / Educational Institutes. Prior experiences of mentoring innovators/ start-ups is must. (Candidate, without any experiences in providing mentorship for innovators/ startups may not apply)
Desirable	Ph.D. in Management/Engineering/Science. Knowledge of protection and transfer of intellectual property rights, knowledge of innovation/start-up funding, network in the innovation ecosystem of north-eastern India.
