Eligibility Criteria for Directorate of Economics and Statistics Assam Job Vacancies

For being eligible to apply for these posts, the candidates have to fulfill some educational and other criteria. These are mentioned here.

Candidates must upload their Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) for educational purposes and be a permanent resident of Assam. Or they can choose to upload valid registration certificate of Employment Exchange in the State of Assam.

As for educational eligibility, candidates must possess a minimum second class degree in Statistics/Economics/Mathematics from a recognized University or its equivalent. The Master's degree certificate must be uploaded online too.

 The mode of application is online only and applicants must apply through the official APSC recruitment website. Candidates who have not created an a account should first create an account in Online Recruitment APSC Portal of APSC website, https://apscrecruitment.in and use active and valid email ID and password. After creating an account and registering, candidates can proceed to log in using the earlier credentials and read the  application details carefully before clicking on Apply to start the application. Correct and genuine details related to the application must be entered by the candidates and all the documents required for eligibility must be duly uploaded. After completion, candidates can choose to preview and correct any errors by clicking on the Preview button. Press the submit button if the entire application process is complete as per requirements. Candidates should then go to the payment section to make the suitable fee payment based on their category, and validate their payment. After making payments, and submitting the final  Online Application, the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and retain the hard copy of the Online Application Form.

Selection Procedure for Directorate of Economics & Statistics, APSC Recruitment 2021

In this section, candidates will learn about the selection procedure for recruiting candidates in the 45 vacant posts. Read more to find out.

A screening test will be conducted if the number of applicants is large to shortlist more eligible candidates. The shortlisted candidates will then be called for a written test of 300 marks.

The Commission will call shortlisted candidates for viva-voce test, based on the marks secured in the written examination. The written examination will be held at Guwahati. The total number of candidates selected for viva-voce will be notified later on.
