About A.H. & Vety. Department Assam: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam is responsible for matters relating to livestock production, preservation, protection from diseases and improvement of stocks and dairy development, and also for matters relating to the Milk Scheme.
The Department advises State Governments in the formulation of policies and programs in the field of Animal Husbandry, development of requisite infrastructure in States, preservation and protection of livestock through provision of health care and strengthening of Central livestock farms (Cattle, Sheep, and Poultry) for development of superior germplasm for distribution to States.

Veterinary Field Assistant | To apply for the post of Veterinary Field Assistant at the A.H. & Vety. Department Assam, the candidate should have passed HSSLC (Science) with Biology as one of the subjects and also have to complete the one year certificate course in elementary knowledge of Veterinary Science from the recognized school of "School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry "established by the Govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar. |
The candidate that is interested and fulfills all the eligibility are required to apply in standard form as per part IX of the Assam Gazette for application along with a testimonial and a self-addressed envelope affixing stamp of Rs. 5.00 for communication. The duly filled-in Application should be addressed to the Director, A.H. &Vety. Department, Assam Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003 and be submitted physically in the DropBox at the Directorate or by Registered Post on or before 30th May 2022.
Applicants must affix 1 (One) copy of recent photograph on the space provided in the application form firmly with good quality glue/adhesive and also should enclose another copy along with the application. The photograph must be signed by the candidate prominently.
