Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Limited (ASTPPCL) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Graphic Designer on contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have minimum 5 years experience as a Graphic Designer in reputed organizations. Preference will be given to candidates working with Academic / School Boards in development of books up to pre-printing stage and well versed in-

i) Adobe InDesign

ii) Adobe Photoshop

iii) Corel Draw

iv) Adobe Illustrator

v) Four colour offset printing

About ASTPPCL

Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Limited is an undertaking of the Government of Assam was established on 30th March 1972 under the Indian Companies Act, 1956. The Corporation is under the administrative control of the Department of Education (Elementary), Government of Assam. Prior to 1950, a committee known as the Central Text Book Committee which was attached to the office of the Director of Public Instruction, Government of Assam, used to look after all the matters relating to production of textbooks. In 1950, the committee's name was changed to Assam Text Book Committee with 10 members nominated by the Government of Assam. In the year 1968, the Government of Assam reconstituted the said committee as 'Board of Text Book Production and Research'. The said Board was again converted into the present Corporation by a notification dated 26th July, 1972. The chronological steps mentioned above led to the formation of the Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Limited in 1972. Thus ASTPPC is legally constituted as an autonomous body, functioning under the direct control of the Department of Elementary Education, Government of Assam.
