Cotton University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) under various projects. Desirous candidates can check all the job details of no of posts, age limit, salary, qualification, etc prescribed below:

Essential Qualification 

MSc in Physics or equivalent in streams like Radiation Physics

Desirable : Candidates having exposure in MS Excel, Auto CAD and simulation works are encouraged to apply

How to apply

For the project "Development of high flux Neutron Beam Shaping Assembly (BSA) for BNCT applications," candidates are requested to submit one page write-up and a detailed CV via email to mridula.baro@cottonuniversity.ac.in with the subject line as "Application for JRF position in UGC-DAE CSR project"

For the project "Production and slowing down of fast neutron beam produced using 15-UD Pelletron accelerator and HIRA facility for AD-BNCT Investigation at IUAC, Delhi," candidates are requested to submit one page write-up and a detailed CV via email to jibanjdas@cottonuniversity.ac.in with the subject line as "Application for JRF position in IUAC project"

For the project "Development of a Differentially Pumped Charged Exchange Cell for Positive Ion Mass Spectrometry," candidates are requested to submit one page write-up and a detailed CV via email to ganeshwary@cottonuniversity.ac.in with the subject line as "Application for JRF position in DAE-BRNS project"

About Cotton University

Cotton University (formerly known as Cotton College) is a public state university located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2017 by the provisions of an Act from the Assam Legislative Assembly which merged Cotton College State University and Cotton College. Cotton College was established in 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton, Chief Commissioner of the former British province of Assam. It was the oldest institute of higher education in Assam and all of Northeast India. Cotton College became a constituent college of Gauhati University in 1948, and then of Cotton College State University when it was established in 2011, by an Act (Act XIX of 2011) of the Assam Government. The Cotton University Act, 2017, was enacted to resolve problems between the college and the university.
