About IIT Guwahati: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), is the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic program of IIT Guwahati (IITG) commenced in 1995. This is a public institution established by the Government of India, located at Guwahati, Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India. IIT Guwahati is officially recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science, and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and Ph.D. programs. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world-class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

JRF (GATE) | To apply for the post of JRF (GATE) at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), the candidate should must have done B.Tech in EE / ECE / EEE / EIE or equivalent with valid GATE score in EC ONLY. M.Tech in VLSI / Photonics can also apply. Should have basic understanding of semiconductor devices and optoelectronic devices. Knowledge in numerical tools like Synopsys, SILVACO TCAD, OptiWAVE, LUMERICAL, MATLAB, LabVIEW etc. is preferable. |
The candidate that is interested and fulfills all the eligibility are required to appear in an online Interview along with a soft copy of the application/CV on plain paper giving details of all educational qualifications, experience, contact address, phone no., E-mail (mandatory) and submit photocopies of relevant documents at the time of interview on 23rd June 2022 (Thursday) at 09:30 Hrs onwards. Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview. An advanced soft copy of the CV must be sent to the Principal Investigator before 21st June 2022 (17:00Hrs).
