About NIT Silchar: National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. NIT Silchar is a joint venture between the Government of India and the State Government of Assam to cater to the country's need for manpower in technology.

Junior Research Fellow | To apply for the post of Junior Research Fellow at the National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar), the candidate should have done M.E., M.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering and related branches of Mechanical Engineering from recognized University. In addition, GATE qualification is mandatory. |
The candidate that is interested and fulfills all the eligibility are required to submit their filled-up applications along with C.V. to the PI accompanying photocopies of all relevant documents with self-attestation to the address: Dr. Sumitra Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar–788010, Assam, India (Contact7017419360). The last date of application is 15th June 2022.
The candidate should write "Application for the post of JRF under the project CRG/2021/007643" on the top of the envelope containing the filled application form with relevant documents. Applicants are also requested to send the soft copy of the duly filled application along with C.V. & all necessary documents to the PI through email l(sumitra@mech.nits.ac.in)with the subject as "Application for the post of JRF under the project CRG/2021/007643"on or before 05.06.2022 up to 5 PM IST.
