About Indian Army

The Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army,and its professional head is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), who is a four-star general. Two officers have been conferred with the rank of field marshal, a five-star rank, which is a ceremonial position of great honour. The Indian Army originated from the armies of the East India Company, which eventually became the British Indian Army, and the armies of the princely states, which were merged into the national army after independence.

The units and regiments of the Indian Army have diverse histories and have participated in a number of battles and campaigns around the world, earning many battle and theatre honors before and after Independence. The Indian Army is operationally and geographically divided into seven commands, with the basic field formation being a division. Below the division level are permanent regiments that are responsible for their own recruiting and training. The army is an all-volunteer force and comprises more than 80% of the country's active defense personnel.

Indian Army Job Recruitment 2022:

Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and appeared in JEE (Mains) 2021 examination for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army. Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Job Vacancy:

i) Only those candidates who have passed the 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from recognized education boards are eligible to apply for this entry.

ii) The eligibility condition for calculating the PCM percentage of various state/central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.

(iii) Candidate must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2021.

How to Apply for Indian Army Job Openings:

• The application will only be accepted online.
• To do so the candidate needs to click on the 'online application' button on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
• Apply Online for Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme- 47
• Online application will open on 24 Jan 2022 at 1500 hrs and will close on 23 Feb 2022 at 1500 hrs.
• After successfully submitting the form, the candidate will receive a confirmation in the form of a dialog box of having submitted the application.
• Print out of the application with a Roll number will be available to the candidate 30 mins after the closing of online applications.
• Candidates are required to print two copies of the application with Roll Number generated by the system.
• One copy of the print-out application duly self-attested by the candidate will be carried to the selection center for the SSB interview.

Following documents will also be carried along with the Application Form:-

1. Class 10th certificate and mark sheet in original showing DOB.
2. Class 12th certificate and mark sheet in the original.
3. ID proof in original.
4. Copy of result of JEE (Mains) 2021.

• The second copy of the printout of the online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference.
• There is no need to send any hard copy of the application printout to the Directorate General of Recruiting.

Selection Procedure for Indian Army Job Vacancy:
