The Central Agricultural University was established by an act of Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act 1992 (No.40 of 1992). The Act came into effect on 26 January 1993 with the issue of necessary notification by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Government of India. The university became functional with the joining of the first vice-chancellor on 13 September 1993.

Educational Qualification

Experience Details

Professor: Candidate Should have Experience of working in Public Sector, Agricultural Universities or Research Institutions in the rank of Professor/equivalent post.

Candidate Should have well experience in planning and execution of Research and Extension activities.

Officer on Special Duty: Candidate Should have Experience of handling issues related to Finance & Accounting of an Institution/ Office as Head Finance.

Candidate Should have Experience o f Office administration and Research Management related to Agriculture and allied field as Head administration.

Senior Consultant: Candidate Should have Well experience of handling national and international Agricultural Research/ Education/ Extension Projects. Involving policy making under Govt. of India.

Candidate Should have Experience of working in project/scheme involving different ministries of Govt. of India.

Consultant: Candidate Should have Experience of working in Research Farm (at least 8 years) not below the rank of Farm Manager
