About MBDA (Meghalaya Basin Development Authority)

The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. Set up in March 2011 and headed by the Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya its Registered Office is situated at Nongrim Hills, Shillong. MBDA aims to address management of natural resources in the state while addressing issues of livelihoods among the rural communities with emphasis on sustainable good practices. Its strategies focus on leveraging the strengths of the land while adapting to climate change, without degradation to the environment.

The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) invites applications from the eligible candidates in prescribed format for the posts of Consultant. Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for Consultant Vacancy:

Diploma in Agricultural Engineering/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Diploma in Automobile Engineering/ Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering/ Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering

Desirable : Candidates having knowledge/experience for operating agricultural tools and equipment will be given preference

• Prescribe application form can be downloaded from the MBDA website, www.mbda.gov.in, or can be obtained free of cost from any of the office of the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, Basin Development Unit (BDU) at the 11 (eleven) District Headquarters.

• Submission of Application Form: Application form duly filled along with self-attested credentials should only be submitted to the O/o Meghalaya Basin Development Authority, C/o, Meghalaya State Housing Cooperative Society Ltd. Campus, Nongrim Hills, Shillong, Meghalaya – 793003 'or' at the O/o Basin Development Unit (BDU)/District Project Management Unit (DPMU), of the 11 (eleven) District Headquarters, Meghalaya.
• The candidate must enclose a recent passport size photograph, self-attested copies of degrees, diplomas, mark-sheets and experience letters, etc. with the application form.
• The last date for receipt of applications is 8th February 2022 (upto 5.00 p.m.) and no application received after the last date will be considered.

Selection Procedure for Consultant Vacancy:

1. There will be written tests and personal interviews for the position. The written test will comprise Subject Matter Knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.
2. The Written Test/ Personal Interview may be held in Shillong only.
