North-Eastern Hill University is recruiting qualified candidates for filling upthe vacant position of Junior Research Fellow on a contractual basis. Desirous candidates can check all the job details of no of posts, age limit, salary, qualification, etc prescribed below:

Eligibility

M.Sc/M.Tech/Ph.D with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in Food Engineering and Technology/Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/ Agriculture Process Engineering/Bioprocess Engineering and its allied subjects with valid NET/GATE.

Work Experience: Experiences in Food Testing Laboratory/National Level Laboratory, experience on HPLC, DSC, Particle size analyser, Spectrophotometric, FT-IR, and knowledge in FSSAI, BIS, ISO, etc., as well as statistical tools for science and technology will be preferred.

Highly motivated and interested candidates willing to work extensively in the field and laboratory may send their application (Annexure-I) along with Curriculum Vitae (PDF file) and photocopies of all academic testimonials having proof of age, qualification, experience (if any), copy of publications (if any), etc. (PDF file) through e-mail to sashibiofood@yahoo.co.in by 15th October 2022 and/or may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, Annexure-I, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if any), certificate of NET/GATE, copy of the publication (if any), one passport size photograph and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on the day of the interview. A walk-in interview will be held on 17/10/2022 at 1 1.30 AM in the department office.

North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), is a Central University established on 19 July 1973 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The university is in the suburb of Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya, India. The university has two campuses: Shillong and Tura in Meghalaya. Shillong is the headquarters of academic and administrative functions. The main campus is 1225 acres in area.

The jurisdiction of the University extended originally to the states of Meghalaya and Nagaland and the erstwhile Union Territories of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. With the establishment of the Nagaland University on 6th September 1994, the jurisdiction of NEHU ceased over Nagaland. Likewise with the establishment of the Mizoram University the jurisdiction of NEHU over Mizoram also ceased from June 2001. Arunachal Pradesh has its own university. However, the North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology located in Arunachal Pradesh is affiliated to NEHU.
