North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) is a medical institute of India in Shillong, Meghalaya. It is located on the outskirts of the educational hub hills City of the Northeastern India, Shillong, the "Scotland of the East". The present full-fledged tertiary care hospital facilities started at its permanent campus at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong in the year 2007. It is an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India in 1987 and declared as "Centre of excellence" by the parliament of India. (1) The MBBS teaching programme of NEIGRIHMS started in 2008 with intake of 50 (fifty) students, followed by Post graduate courses in the following 4 subjects - Anaesthesiology, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Pathology in the year 2009.[2][3] Further PG courses have been started in the following subjects - Anatomy, General Medicine, General Surgery and Radiodiagnosis and Imaging. The Institute also offers DM course in Cardiology. Besides, there is B. Sc Nursing and M. Sc Nursing courses (annual intake of 50 seats in B.Sc and 10 seats in M.Sc) being run by the Institute's College of Nursing.The College of Nursing started its courses from the year 2006.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences ( NEIGRIHMS) Shillong intends to conduct walk-in-interviews for recruiting candidates for 63 vacant posts of Senior Resident Doctors. Desirous candidates can check all the job details of no of posts, age limit, salary, qualification, etc prescribed below:

Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria for Senior Resident Doctors Posts:

Essential Qualification :

i. Postgraduate degree or diploma in respective subject recognized by MCI after obtaining a medical qualification included in the Schedule – I & II of the 3rd Schedule of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in the part – II of the 3rd schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13 (B) of the Act).

ii. Satisfactory completion of the compulsory internship/housemanship in a recognized hospital.

iii. Candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

Desirable: Candidates having experience in the respective discipline/subject will be preferred.

• Eligible candidates are requested to present themselves for registration at 09:30 a.m to 10:45 a.m on 23rd , 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th & 30th October and on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th 6th, 8th & 9th November 2021 for the posts of SRDs in the Conference Hall, NEIGRIHMS Guest House, Permanent Campus, Mawdiangdiang.

vii. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma passed certificate

viii. Medical Registration Certificate for MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/Diploma

ix. NOC from the present employer (if employed)

x. Experience Certificate (if applicable)

xi. Residence Certificate issued by competent authority or Aadhar card or voter ID and Passport

Selection Process for Senior Resident Doctors Job Vacancy:
